I'm so excited. League sign-ups for the local archery club are next week. Because of the old job, I worked on league nights, I couldn't sign up. But this year I can sign up!!!
My bow is strung, my fletchings are glued and my nocks are tight. I'm ready - and I hope the next time I post Robin Hood, it's means I've actually shot a robin hood* (like that will ever happen!).
*The term "Robin Hood" refers to splitting the shaft of an arrow already in the target with another arrow.

Oh my goodness, I never knew you were an archer! My older son tried archery at school camp and absolutely loved it. He has been nagging me to find him an archery club (and I have been putting it off because I don't know where to start!) Now I can just send him to you!!
Ha ha! Archery is so much fun and it's one of the safest sports for kids too. I don't know what the laws are like in Scotland, but if you have a small yard or even side passage it's easy to set up a target area at home. The Genesis bows are really great for beginners. And you might be able to get a used one for under $30 US. But if you can find a beginners class - that's ideal. Competition makes it more entertaining.
So I guess exporting him to you isn't an option then? (Kidding! Honest! Mostly.)
Sure! Why not? Of course, it's only about 6 F degrees outside.
Import me to Scotland instead!
